What to Expect at This Store
Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Aaron's directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Edit as of 1/14 the photo is how the representative showed up again today with the matching hat to his security jacket he wore previously. Once again showing up to peoples homes NOT IN UNIFORM. I also attached the compliant submitted on 12/17 via email that I received a confirmation for that explicitly stated I did not want that particular individual at my home. I’m updating my review to reflect an ongoing and deeply concerning pattern of conduct. After a prior in-home incident involving inappropriate behavior, I explicitly documented in writing (email to corporate and the store) that a specific individual was not authorized to return to my home. This boundary was reiterated multiple times by phone as well. Despite this, the same individual showed up again. During the interaction (which I recorded), the individual acknowledged that he had seen the email stating he was not welcome and still came anyway. He was again out of uniform, despite management later confirming that employees are expected to be in uniform when visiting customers’ homes. Notably, he was wearing a hat that explicitly said “SECURITY,” matching the authority-style jacket worn during the initial incident that I had already complained about. I was required to tell him multiple times to leave my property and explicitly state that he was trespassing before he disengaged. Afterward, management claimed they were unaware of the email or boundary — which directly contradicts the individual’s own acknowledgment on video. Two other technicians later arrived, properly uniformed, proving that this individual’s presence was unnecessary and avoidable. I raised concerns directly with management and offered video evidence, which they declined to review, stating they “believed me.” The lack of escalation, accountability, and basic respect for customer boundaries is alarming. This was not a payment issue. It was a conduct and safety issue, repeatedly mishandled. I canceled my lease as a result and would strongly caution others about allowing in-home visits without clear confirmation of who is being sent and whether documented boundaries will actually be respected. Original review - I had been a paying customer with this location and had multiple prior home visits without incident. I’ve also had multiple late payments. No shame in my game, they always got their money though within 2 weeks. This was the first time I ever filed a complaint, and it was because a serious line was crossed. This isn’t a payment issue. It’s a conduct issue. FULL STOP. During an in-home visit, a representative failed to properly identify himself and was wearing a security-style jacket that obstructed his work shirt, making it unclear who he was or who he represented. During this interaction, he snatched paperwork out of my hand instead of asking me to hand it over. This occurred at my residence and raised a serious safety concern. A perceived or alleged breach of a lease does not warrant physical contact with my person. If a customer were to behave this way toward an employee inside a store—snatching items out of their hands—it would clearly be considered unacceptable. That same standard should apply when employees enter a customer’s home. I reported the incident the same day it occurred and was told by the account manager that it should be escalated to the General Manager. Despite this, I received no call from the GM for days, and the matter was not addressed with the urgency or seriousness it warranted. Payment was not the issue. Conduct, safety, and failure to escalate were. I ultimately canceled my lease due to how this situation was handled. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location.
Brandon I believe is new and very aggressive and disrespectful anytime I go in all others are so pleasant and accommodating the customer needs this man is awful and I refuse to deal with him again without him in this establishment it's a 5 star
If you are looking to rent furniture, electronics or whatever Aaron’s is the way to go. Charles is friendly and does his best to make it easier for you to be able to walk out with what you need with no hassle. I appreciate the way he works with his clients.
I Love the people at AARONS Great Mills, They have been Patient and Understanding. I have bought a Refrigerator, Lap Top, Two Sets of Bunk Beds A couch set and A TV from them I have been pleased with every item.
The customer service is horrible. I ended up being late to work because the girl did not know what she was doing. Every time I came in to get something they told me I needed something else. & they don't focus on one thing. Maybe you should have multiple workers. There is no reason I should have been there for an hour when I already filled out my paperwork. I have since cancelled my service with them. The TV was not worth the hassle of dealing with these workers. I did a partial payment and kept getting phone calls about my payment being late. Why were they calling me? For 27 cents. No one who works there knows what they're doing. I would avoid them at all cost.
