A gentleman that works here named Cameron is always so pleasant?, professional and kind each time I have to deliver here. Kudos to whomever hired him!
Have been dealing with them for years! We usually bring home items the same day! However, we did have a living room suit delivered and one gentleman was amazing but the other was extremely hateful and even told my husband to back up he didn't need his help, that he was closterphobic to back off!!! I understand this disorder because I suffer from it too but there is no way I would get rude with someone just trying to help make my job a little easier!
Place is a joke, literally told me that even though they had talked my ps5 back, told me I could pay it the Friday I got paid, and when I called today to try and pay to get it back which was $250 they wanted to turn around and tell me that it was the Friday they picked it up that I had to pay the $250 and now in order to get it back I had to pay $600 right out because they could no longer rent it to me. And I’ve heard nothing but bad things about rent a center, and I ignored what people told me, and still went through them, now I’m starting to believe everything that was said. If I had choice they wouldn’t even get a 1 star. They need to do better! And find better employees. Instead of lying and telling people one thing and then taken it back and doing the next. It’s sad and joke.
Beware they mark up returned stuff up yo where they get 5 to 8 times what it cost. They always told me I could get anything once I priced a 299 countrrtop dishwasher they came back with 1200 price First the store. When I had a bedframe break. The employee told be it was an Amazon basic. The manager Tom said nothing to counter that other then it would be wrong to guess my weight. The problem amazon basic only holds 250 lbs. That is a queen frame and it is junk about a week later the dm calls me. He has me to send a picture and said this was an Ashley frame. Problem was by then I had bought another frame.I had since filed a bbb claim. The district manager manager gave me an option of new bed frame or nothing. Reluctantly I agreed. Fast forward 1 month I had a tv break so wanted to rent another. They wouldnt I called corporate wanted to speak if regional manager yet district manager called me. He told me rent a center had put my frame together and it was not broken . I asked simply how did they put it back together when I thru bent legs in the trash can. So one of two things happened dm lied. Or more then likely store added middle legs to frame I returned making it look like was not broke. I did get tv from another company it was actually cheaper so Tom lied employee lied and district manager lied Rent a center it is the dm that caused the issue. I hate liars. So referring to him is pointless I have called 3 times for regional manager. Yet not once has a man called me back. I have bought a couch and loveseat. A recliner an Xbox a 70 inch tv. A refrigerator an air conditioner currently paying for a stove. So I finally ordered from Aaron's your dm stupidity cost rent a center a good customer although last thing before tv would have been a 70 inch tv stand. Which I will also get from aarons.
At first, there was a female manager there that was absolutely awesome. She made things so simple and easy and she was actually friendly. Then she left. From there, I had to deal with the male manager who always had a RBF look to him and just seemed like he was bothered by your presence whenever you came in to pay or to get something else added to your account. The delivery guys, whom I know both of them, were cool at first. One of them, which I won't name for his own privacy, got snarky with me when I had already worked out a payment agreement. He called me and said that "just wasn't going to work" and said he was going to have to come get my computer. Let me be clear on this. Yes, I had been behind by 2 payments. They told me to stay in touch and we could work something out. I DID stay in touch. I couldn't talk because I had bronchitis AND the flu at the same time, so my voice wasn't exactly clear. They text me from this number that I had opted into at the beginning. I texted in once a week for 3 weeks. No reply back. THEN, when I called to make a payment, and set up the remaining payments, I was told that I needed to stay in touch, which I had. Well, delivery boy "A" called AFTER I'd already spoken to a manager, and said that it "just wasn't going to work" and was going to come pick up my computer. Um....it was only $10, so I have NO idea how THAT was going to make a difference, AND I'd already been paying on this sh*t for over a year, so that damn computer had been paid off 5x over. Whatever. I'll be honest. I've BEEN over RAC and their shenanigans. They'll call you and call you and call you. There's no telling them to stop or that you'll call them. I told them that I'd call them with a payment. They called me 4x that day. So did I make the payment THAT day? Nope. I don't like to be harassed. They aren't superior and all mighty. Well, I checked in to a few other options and found out what I pretty much already knew, which is that I'm OVERpaying for the exact same items elsewhere AND I can own my stuff in over HALF the time. I'll be with RAC for another week, but that's only because where I'm going has a wait on their delivery time. But I'll own my sh*t in half the time AND pay half the price.
