The Rent A Center Holiday Store! 5 Stars!! Shelly and Joe were exceptionally helpful with assisting me to secure a new power recliner for my husband! What could have taken days was handled in a manner of hours. They found the exact item I had requested! Super helpful service! I’m glad to be a repeat customer!
If it were possible to have a zero rating, it would be highly disrespectful, rude, and indicative of extremely poor customer service. The experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and the manager’s condescending attitude has made it even more difficult to deal with.
I have been with them for years and this is never happened, but I have a PC from them. I got it fixed and I had two ramp sticks in it that I put in it and I got it back the other day and they’re not in there, they didn’t call they didn’t. They didn’t even say anything I get home and I look inside and it’s not there so they’re gonna be getting a phone call tomorrow morning and yeah
0 stars!!! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! This place will repeatedly rob you!!! I paid off a washer and dryer, my washer broke and they gave me a horrible time trying to get a replacement. They attempted to scam me into a new agreement even though I had insurance! They charged me for a couch that was never delivered because we canceled! They then lied about who the manager was and gave me the run around...just to waste time so it'd be too late to dispute the charges! Now they are charging me for insurance that they said I cant use!!! Worst place ever!!!
If I could give negative stars I would. First of the entire staff, minus i think a man named Joe, is completely disrespectful and have absolutely no place working in customer service. The general manager Shelly being the number one disrespectful employee of this place. She called me to find out why my survey after purchase was a 1 star. And in that situation a general managers position should be to de-escalate the unhappy customer. Instead she spoke in a completely condescending tone, and did nothing but escalate me further. When I told her I would be reporting her to corporate she told me I was the rude one and to report her because the line is recorded and they will hear how rude I am. Which if that is the case rent a center is recording customers without their knowledge because no where in her opening when she called me did she say we were on a recorded line until I told her I was going to report her and she said what she said to me. Which I never consented to being recorded and is another issue for me for it is illegal without my consent in the state of fl. I will still be reporting her to corporate. My original issue was simple I purchased a new TV that was claimed as new but when it was delivered to my home, it was delivered just wrapped in plastic, the remote was used, and when my mom was there to receive the delivery she questioned the guy delivering it he told her it was pre leased and they used it as a display. I called the store when she told me this to ensure that it was in fact a new TV. They tried to assure me that it was and that they have to take out all new tvs when they receive them to inspect them and ensure they work. Which I understand but a TV, something that has a limited usable life should not be kept on and used as a display and then advertised/ delivered / sold as NEW. This is not a NEW item if it is being used even as a display. I will say that Mike I think was his name did offer to bring me a new remote for the TV which was appreciated. But the more I thought about the run around I got with the TV being new and the un-easy feeling I kept getting that the TV was not new I called and told them no I do not want the TV I want it returned. I do not remember who I spoke with that time but I told them that I don't want it because I don't feel ensured that it is in fact a new TV when their own delivery man said it was a display and pre leased. The man I spoke with then tried to infact say it was a new TV and when I said no I just want it returned they said they can get it either Wednesday or Thursday and hung up on me no timeframe or anything. Then come today, the manager Shelly calls, we have our conversation as mentioned above and she still never could give me an answer as to when the TV could be picked up because now their van has a flat. I had a negative experience at this store last year and really tried to give them a second chance but this store manager has truly made me never want to give them my business again. I have worked in retail as well as furniture sales and management and not once would I ever nor have I ever be as rude to a customer as she was no matter what type of sale environment it is. Beware this location.
