What to Expect at This Store

Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Aaron's directly to confirm.

What to Bring

  • Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
  • Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
  • Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
  • Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers

How It Works

  1. 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
  2. 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
  3. 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
  4. 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance

Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:

Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

I wont be ordering from this store ever again... I had to order from them because they are the closest but they are the worst! Whoever their delivery manager is needs some more training. They had to order my set so it was supposed to be there on the 5/13. By the 15th I still didn't hear from them so I called. It will be there on the 16th. They set a delivery date of the 22nd from 330-7. They set the time! I get a call at 10:18 asking if they can deliver it now... well I couldn't because I'm at work so I let them know that I can be there for our scheduled delivery time. They said ok. Well they call at 430 saying they wont be delivering because they left my area... they want to deliver it in the morning. I can't do the morning because I already left early today to be here for my delivery. Then she gets rude basically telling me its morning or nothing. I was left with no choice but to cancel the order and she hangs up on me. Now I had to call this ridiculous store back to actually cancel the order with this unprofessional representative of Aarons. Good luck with this store Aarons.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! The worst Aaron’s and customer service ever!! I wouldn’t even give 1 star if I could. I put money down for an entire bed set and they basically took my money and ran. It’s been a month and still no bed set!! They don’t call me to update on anything. Everytime I call to check if it’s coming every Tuesday like they tell me in each call it’s always “I would be upset too” when I express why am I being lied to and the bed set has yet to be delivered. They offer me 3 months off and tell me a day, still no bed set. If you work hard and appreciate your money, DO NOT waste your time at this store! I should’ve listened to the reviews beforehand! Part 2. I received my bed set an entire month after order. I was promised at least 3 months off and this was the worst decision I’ve ever made!! I received my order August 20th. With promise to pay November 1st. Patrick needs to be fired! He doesn’t take into consideration anything he says nor does he remember. Luckily calls are recorded! Patrick has embarrassed me by calling my work place demanding to speak to me because I haven’t paid. And has harassed my phone multiple times with multiple numbers with the agreement we have of November 1st. I’m going to give everything back. Save yourself the headache and keep your money and go somewhere else!

I’ve been a customer of Aaron’s both here in CT and NC. I’ve never, ever had the experience that I’ve had with this location. My online order was placed 6/20/24. After not receiving the 2-3day call to schedule delivery; I called on 6/29 to get an update. I spoke with the manager who didn’t offer any sort of apology for the delay or even acknowledged it. I explained that I work out of state so weekend delivery would be my only option. We scheduled for 7/6. When 7/6 rolls around. I get a call that they had no drivers available. I say ok we’ll have the schedule for the following weekend 7/13. This delivery day arrives and delivery window of 9-12 is narrowing with no call. I call and before I can utter a word; the manager says “they’re on their way to you. It’s on the truck”. Taken aback I say ok thank you. I’m assuming they have caller ID so whatever. At 12:50pm I get a call from John (one of the drivers) I meet them downstairs and they go get the TV from the truck. It’s raining and the TV is NOT in a box, one of the leg stands is in one of the drivers hand. I’m perplexed by what I’m seeing. We get to TV to my apt and John says the paperwork is in the truck. I ask if the TV was new? He said yes they unboxed it before bringing it in…hmm?!? I was handed the plug, remote and no manual. He then changed his statement and says well it’s new but it was on display in the store. Now I’m like what!! He stresses that it is new but wasn’t brand new boxed. The TV has white paint transfer on the back, there’s some sticky adhesive on the back and it’s dusty. I explained that I’m not going to accept and sign paperwork for a brand new TV that isn’t brand new. I’m paying a lot of money for essentially used but at a brand new price. So he said he understands and they will order a NEW TV and we set a new delivery date for 7/27. So at that point it’ll be over a MONTH since I placed my order and would be on a 2nd payment we no TV. They also left the display TV at my place on the floor when they put it. It’s too large for the console I have. So they’ll apparently retrieve it at the time of the next TV delivery. I called the store after they left to give them a heads up as well. I made 5 calls and each was ignored (they have called ID) So I called customer service and lodged a complaint and will be speaking with the district manager (Patrick Courtney) The store never offered a courtesy call to discuss me being ok with accepting a display model or offering a discount for the display model. If the manager is the same one mentioned in previous comments; he should look into a non customer service career. Clearly he’s lacking the ability/professionalism/patience required. His tone is very indifferent/dismissive. It gives Aaron’s a bad look. Do better sir!!
