What to Expect at This Store

Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary β€” contact Rent-A-Center directly to confirm.

What to Bring

  • Valid photo ID β€” driver's license, state ID, or passport
  • Proof of income β€” recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
  • Proof of residence β€” utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
  • Personal references β€” typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers

How It Works

  1. 1 Browse in store β€” choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
  2. 2 Apply β€” no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
  3. 3 Get approved β€” many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
  4. 4 Delivery or pickup β€” most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance

Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:

Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Mariah the store manager is so so amazing she took care of situation and I was able to keep my merchandise!!! I would recommend the Trinidad store to anyone and I absolutely will. Mariah went above and beyond to help me and that to me is what keeping your clients and customers is all about. From the district manager to the store manager Mariah I know I'm always in good hands. A very happy customer here! Sincerely Anthony!!

We got a stove here and it was the worst stove we have ever had, haven’t even had it for a year and we are unable to use the over or do basically anything on it, our burners only work sometimes as they go off and on, we kept getting an out and our clock ended up going out, whenever we try to bake seconds later an error goes off making it impossible to bake no matter how hard or how many times you try, we had problems from the very first few months with it and kept repetitively going to talk to the staff about fixing it or getting help with it as we had a warranty, they kept delaying when someone would come to check it out, we finally had gotten an appointment for someone to come check it out, guess what no one ever came, the people there kept leading us farther and farther until the warranty ran out and we could no longer receive any help on a stove that had stopped working after the first month. We will NOT be shopping at a store this outrageous ever again and advise anyone thinking of shopping there to think again.

I was going to let it go. I was going to ignore the entire ordeal that they put me through with my stupid set of recliners, and maybe even come back, but today Mariah had the audacity to piss me off one last time πŸ˜…. So here we go. I made my last payment the day my "agreement" was supposed to end, they rejected my payment 3 times. I took screenshots of all 3 attempts to make the payment, went in and tried to make the payment again. All the sudden my agreement has TRIPLED in price, because I "failed to make my last payment." Months ago by, we're trying to communicate with the stupid manager and no one can seem to get this fixed. Finally, 3 months later, I was able to get it settled. Only because I threatened a lawyer since I had proof that rent a center actually rejected my payment. They are shady. They will reject payments to make you fault on the agreement to charge you more. Do NOT go here. The reason for this review, I got a missed call today from them. I call back, Mariah goes "yeah idk maybe it was to let you know of a promotion and new management." Okay, whatever. She barely told me what the promotion was, very mono-tone, cool. Maybe I'll swing by and check it out since I do need a fridge. I hang up, go back to trying to sleep, the get ANOTHER call from them. I call them back again and she goes "yeah idk, maybe having trouble with the auto dialer" all I said was "okay, well I work nights, let's keep it to a minimum lol" and she had the wild hair to reply with "well if it bugs you, maybe you should just block our number." You know what??? You're so right, Mariah. I hung up on you without saying goodbye and did just that ✌🏻.

Buyer beware this store will try to steal from you when you have completed your contract with them and you have a final payment regardless of what the balance is they attempt to take a full payment. I owe them $88. They charged my card $152. I pointed out their error to them. They refused to do a refund. I spent a week speaking with their corporate office after their regional manager contacted them they agreed to make a refund they did not refund the full amount to my credit card. They did a partial refund or they said they did a partial refund as of now, nothing has been posted on my credit card so supposedly they did not refund the total amount but then they contact me and demand a payment of $88 which I explained to him that I would gladly pay him the $88 when the refund showed up on my credit card they demanded that I pay it immediately or they would come and repossessed the merchandise. I contacted their corporate office again their corporate office assured me that they had no right in doing so so I am still waiting on some type of a refund from the store. Do not use this store. They are not trustworthy. They do not hold up to their end of the agreement the manager of the stores name is Anthony and he is completely aware and responsible for this mixup so buyer beware

New manager is a scam artist, lies about your contract, about the policies, and when/what the all inclusive warranty will cover. If he tells you that the warranty only covers it once, or about the payment options, contact corporate. In fact, only deal with corporate if you can. Genuinely contacting a lawyer about this, I've paid for 8 months now for something I can't use, and every time I call it's another bullshit excuse. Tiffani is always great, if you can deal with her its much better, but the guy in charge will lie to you and steal your money.
